Michael & Cindy Proposal | Oak Island, NC

My brother is ENGAGED!!! Michael & Cindy have been dating for 2.5 years and on the last Saturday in October he pulled out a gorgeous ring and proposed on the beach in Oak Island, NC! This wasn’t just an unplanned proposal either - Michael has had this planned for months and as his older sister it’s been SO fun to watch and see how excited he is. As soon as he bought the ring and knew he was going to propose, he reached out to me about taking pictures of the proposal - which was seriously the easiest yes ever. From there, Operation Take A Knee was born. Lots of texting about the perfect proposal location and celebration after, and it all came together so well! It’s a miracle we were all able to keep this from Cindy for so long, but not without some almost slip ups. ;)

Saturday morning at sunrise, Michael & Cindy went for a walk with their pup on the beach - like any other Saturday morning lately. But when they got to the pier, where Jon and I were hiding, he dropped to a knee and asked her to marry him. She said yes, of course, and after that the celebration began! Jon and I popped out of hiding and then had an impromptu engagement mini session! Michael very smartly planned an outfit change and some makeup for the occasion - guys, take note.

After the mini session, we parted ways and met back up later for a super fun surprise celebration at Edward Teach Brewing in Wilmington! It was such a fun day celebrating these two - I’m soooo happy for you Michael & Cindy!! Can’t wait to have you officially join the fam, Cindy! :)
