Megan + Mike | Maternity | Carlsbad, CA

I’ve lived in Carlsbad, CA now for almost 3 years, and this past weekend I got to explore a place literally 5 minutes from my house that I’d somehow never been to! Megan and Mike, thanks for giving me the best excuse ever to visit Leo Carrillo Ranch! Megan and Mike are good friends with some of my friends Elena and Cody, so the 5 of us met up to take some maternity pictures. I’ve heard so much about them and all of their hiking and backpacking adventures, and I’m so glad I finally got to meet them! The ranch opens at 9am on Sundays, so we got there as soon as we could to capture that glowy, morning light and to avoid being there in the hot sun. Despite it being morning, the temperatures still crept up fast (believe it or not, it does get hot in Southern California) and Megan was such a trooper exploring with us, in heels, 8 months pregnant! And can we just talk about how gorgeous she is?! They were such a fun couple to photograph, and clearly so in love after 10 (!!) years of marriage.

Megan and Mike- thanks again for letting me capture pictures during this fun time in your lives!! I’m so excited for you both and the little boy or girl who will be here soon! I hope we can all do a camping trip in the future, with the newest addition ;)
